God Rocks!

God Rocks!
Feeds the hungry
We love him every day
He's our guiding light and savior
Praise him!

Help us to Listen

Dear Lord, help us to listen for your voice.
Help us to hear it in our songs, in our teachings, in our prayers and in our interactions with those around us. Help us to listen with the ears of Mary, and to still our hands and feet, so that the "Martha" in us may hear your words too.

Air, Water, Food, Warmth

Holy One,
Living creatures need
Air,
Water,
Food &
Warmth.

In all we do help us to cherish, protect, and offer thanksgiving for these elements so that ALL may live.

God of all people...1

God of all people and places, we know you care about all that is wrong in our world. Therefore, we pray for the people in Haiti. We also pray for the people that are helping people recover from their wounds, inside and out. Jesus teaches us of your love and your ways. Help us to make a difference by donating money to help Haiti to buy first aid equipment, and to show your healing love through praying for those affected. We ask this because we know that you welcome our prayers. Amen.

God of all people...2

God of all people and places, we know you care about all that is wrong in our world. Therefore, we pray for the people of Haiti to receive what they need to survive. We also pray for calmness in their land. Jesus teaches us of your love and your ways. Help us to make a difference by having a hot chocolate stand to raise money for Haiti, and to show your healing love through adopting an orphan. Everything helps. We ask all this because we know that you welcome our prayers. Amen.

God of all people and places, we know you care about all that is wrong in our world. Therefore, we pray for the people of Haiti. We also pray for the many organizations who provide good food so they wont starve to death. Jesus teaches us of your love and your ways. Help us make a difference by donating money to Haiti, and to show your healing love through praying at night for Haiti. We ask this because we know that you welcome our prayers. Amen.

Dear Jesus

Dear Jesus,

I thought I knew how to love
until I found You
Now Im truly deeply in love
and I am feeling it
But I dont know how
I could show You
How could I prove to You o Jesus
how much I love You?

I thought I knew how to love
until You changed me.
My whole life is You
for You are my world now
But I dont know how
I could show You
How could I prove to You o Jesus,
how much I love you?

We are like plants

God we are like plants that want to grow.
These are the things that keep us from growing:
-Peer pressure
-Disbelief
-Lack of self confidence
These are the things that help us grow:
-Putting yourself in others shoes
-Support from peers, family, teachers and strangers
-Learn to correspond with those you dont always get along with
-Get to know those who you thought were unfriendly
-Go to church regularly

Mothers Proverbs

The race goes to the horse who runs for utter joy.

Lips and hands must measure before they dispense their wares.

Set an extra plate for an unexpected guest— someday it could be you.

What you most despise in your sisters eyes
is what your own reflection reveals.

Darkness and rain
bring birdsong.

A stately house shrinks beside the one
whose walls vibrate with laughter.

To stand your tallest, plant your feet on rock.

No one can schedule a natural birth
and it isnt over when the screams begin.

Ask for your desire and when you receive it
offer it up again.

When the sun shines,
focus its light in your body

and when the rains pour down,
the rocks will glow before you.

Take the hands of children
for they fix their eyes on you

and when you grow weak
they will scoop you into their arms.

Bite into the apple of love, enjoy its juice
and let the seeds fall all around you.

Poets Prayer

where is the line
between compulsion and will?
must I have my own way
or does it have me?
when Im out of control
who is in charge?
God gives me choices
Im not qualified to make

AND HOW ELSE WILL YOU LEARN?

oh yeah
never mind

If There Was No Peace

If there was no Peace on Earth
there would be no friends, civilization,
nature, and love. So lets take what God gave us. PEACE!

Come and See

Jesus always makes everybody equal.
He is kind and loyal,
Also he is forgiving and caring, ad doesnt make fun of
anyone who is different.
He forgives your mistakes and cares for everyone.

Come and See

JOLLY
ETERNAL
SPECIAL
UNDERSTANDING
SAVING

Jesus is perfect,
He is a friend to everyone,
He is forgiving, caring and loving to anyone who needs him. -

JESUS
A wonderful person,
A miracle worker,
A peace giver, and an amazing leader. -

Come and see Jesus the healer
Come and see Jesus the man
Loving, caring, always there.
Hes the man, found through prayer. -

Meet Jesus, he brings love and peace;
Like the friend you never had. -
Like a miracle the Lamb of God,
The man for others;
Is always there. -

Jesus is caring and sharing;
So you can share him.
He is special;
So be kind towards him.
Jesus makes miracles;
So always love him. -

Come and see Jesus,
He is super and great,
Come and see Jesus,
He is almighty and always there.
Come and see Jesus,

Loving Creator

Dear loving Creator, I beseech you to wrap your arms around all who hunger and give them sustenance while in your warm and loving embrace.
Surround the suffering with your mighty and powerful protection.
Aid all those who combat hunger and evil with granting justice to all.
I ask in Jesus our Saviour and Redeemers name.
Amen.

Rivers

One river flowing free,

long and strong you used to be.

but sewage ruins your lovely face,

and fish no longer grace you.

Oh, river flowing long and free,

you are not what you used to be.

Trinity Sunday...2

Poems from Youth Group members at Wesley, Tauranga Methodist Parish

God is yellow like the sun

God tastes like grapes.

God sounds like a bumblebee.

God feels like a feather quilt.

God smells like wafting smoke.

God is yellow like the sun;

his memory is like a river.

A strong scent of extinguished candle follows him around.

His millions of loving arms surround us like a warm feather quilt.

Sophie (Wesley, Tauranga)
