How does the Season of Creation affect my resources?

The Season of Creation runs from September 4 to September 25, 2011.

During these four weeks, the focus scriptures are not lectionary-based; however, the Seasons of the Spirit resources follow a set of readings that broadly correspond with the Revised Common Lectionary.

The worship resources and lessons offered during the Season of Creation follow the same format as the rest of the church year. This allows congregations to create a weekly worship experience that encourages members to engage in community and to adapt the resources for however they "do church."

Starting with October 2, 2011, Seasons of the Spirit resources once again follow the Revised Common Lectionary, and the focus scriptures are lectionary-based for the remainder of the church year.
